Job Summary
As an Insights Associate in our Cape Town Insight Hub, you will deliver market research projects, analyzing consumer attitudes and behaviors to inform product innovation and brand strategies. Leveraging quantitative and qualitative techniques, you’ll uncover trends from social datasets and collaborate with teams in Cape Town, London, and New York to deliver high-quality insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct data-led and qualitative analysis using Black Swan’s proprietary tools, interpreting large Excel datasets.
• Craft concise reports with actionable insights that address key business questions.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and internal debriefs.
• Share knowledge and ideas through team discussions and informal collaboration.
• Monitor project performance, flagging risks to quality or timelines.
• Mentor junior Insights Associates on taxonomy builds, data curation, and analysis techniques.

Requirements:

• Degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year of experience in qualitative/quantitative research or data analysis.
• Passion for product innovation, consumer behavior, and emerging research technologies.
• Expertise in Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for compelling visual storytelling.
• Confidence presenting to stakeholders and collaborating across global teams.
• Proactive, empathetic, and energized by teamwork and problem-solving.
