Coca Cola Vacancies – Account Manager – Port Shepstone

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) has an exciting opportunity within the Sales department for a highly motivated and skilled Account Manager based in Port Shepstone. This role reports directly to the Sales Manager and is focused on driving profitable sales, strengthening customer relationships, and unlocking growth opportunities in the assigned area.

Key Purpose
The Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans, managing customer accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. The goal is to deliver exceptional customer service, foster brand loyalty, and drive sustainable volume growth of CCBSA products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement new business opportunities to grow volume and market presence

  • Maintain high levels of customer service by building strong, long-lasting relationships

  • Develop and execute account plans to ensure alignment with sales strategies and performance targets

  • Conduct account reviews to monitor performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions

  • Manage and optimize accounts through consistent engagement, order generation, and issue resolution

  • Maintain and manage assets such as coolers and merchandising materials for maximum return

  • Execute trade promotions and ensure compliance with merchandising standards

  • Oversee cash and credit account management to minimize risk and ensure payment compliance

  • Compile and submit competitor intelligence reports for business decision-making

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Solid understanding of sales and marketing principles, execution standards, and credit management

  • Strong knowledge of CCBSA product portfolio and trade service programs

  • Experience in merchandising, cooler management, and order-taking in an FMCG environment

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and build strong customer relationships

  • Proficient in basic finance and commercial concepts

  • High energy, self-discipline, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working both independently and within a team

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric and a completed 3-year qualification in Sales or Marketing

  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in FMCG sales or marketing

  • Valid Code 08 driver’s license

  • Computer literacy or the ability to quickly acquire relevant digital skills
